  3. Arctic Norway Photography Workshop in Autumn
Address:
Senja, Norway, Norway, Europe
Description:

As Norway’s second-largest island, Senja is the more compact, wilder and less visited neighbour of the famous Lofoten islands but let me assure you it is no less beautiful!. With a wild coastline and sheer-sided mountains and valleys cloaked in the vibrant yellow of silver birch, September is the perfect time to visit and photograph one of northern Europe’s hidden gems. Join me for an Arctic Norway Photography Workshop this autumn.

From our base in beautiful harbour-side apartments, we will explore a multitude of locations including mountain vistas and stunning old-growth birch forests where the yellow of silver birch contrasts beautifully with the understory of bunchberry. The jewel in Senja’s crown – Tungeneset – with its patterned rocks and crashing waves and in the distance, Devil’s Teeth mountain is really a sight to behold and a location we will be visiting on several occasions as you just can’t do it justice on a single visit! And, as with Tungeneset, the coastal pine forest of Andersalen National Park with specimens dating more than 600 years is a location not to be missed.

Understanding that the aurora borealis is high on many’s wish-list we will do our utmost to put you in the best possible position to photograph them, and since we are so far north, providing there are clear skies you stand an excellent chance of seeing them, whatever the KP!

Upon booking, you will receive a free copy of my ebook on How to Photograph the Northern Lights.
