Wales, Snowdonia and Mid, August 28-September 6, 2025

Join me for an exploration of the sights and sounds of Wales and the awe-inspiring regions of Snowdonia, Anglesey, and Mid Wales. Perfect for photographers, the rugged coast, castles, lighthouses, abandoned quarries, rolling hills and lofty peaks, lakes, rivers, and forests, along with the Welsh people and architecture provide varied opportunities, and the shifting weather sets the mood.

We will wander at a Photographer’s Pace, allowing you time to get to know each location. This means we’ll visit only 1 – 3 locations per day. This is not a whirlwind tour. You’ll have time to look and see and ponder, to let the landscape show you what it wants you to photograph. Expect to have up to 2 hours or more per location to find the smallest thing and the largest thing to photograph, to make long exposures, to experiment, to hone your personal vision. Some locations involve some hiking, up to perhaps 3 miles round trip on easy to moderate tracks. This is a photography exploration, also, and while post-processing is an important part of the photography process, I won’t be spending specific time on that but will be happy to assist where needed. Expect early mornings, long days, with breaks, into the evening. We’ll explore under all but extreme weather conditions.
