Spend a few quiet winter days photographing wild golden eagles in the forests of Meådal, in Trøndelag, central Norway. From two heated photography hides, you and your companions can settle in, watch the birds and work at your own pace as the winter light changes.
This is a private, self-guided photography stay for one to four photographers, not a guided tour or workshop. After an introduction, you have time to concentrate on your own photography. The hides are positioned approximately 15–20 metres from the feeding area. The golden eagles are wild, and every encounter is on their terms. We can’t promise they’ll appear, or predict how close they’ll come or how they’ll behave.
Your stay includes the red log cabin, dating from 1908, as a base for your time in Meådal. The season runs from January to mid-March, with a minimum of two hide days. The price is NOK 2,300 per photographer per hide day. Advance booking is required.
Guests meet at the farm in Flornes, approximately 30 minutes by car from Trondheim Airport Værnes. Airport transfers can be arranged in advance for an additional fee.
