Description:

Namibia, a country of stark beauty and contrasting landscapes, is a dream destination for photographers. From the towering sand dunes of the Namib Desert to the rugged coastline of the Skeleton Coast, this African nation offers a diverse range of photographic opportunities.

This tour will take you on a journey through some of Namibia’s most iconic locations, capturing the country’s unique and breathtaking scenery. With its vast open spaces, dramatic sunsets, and diverse wildlife, Namibia is a photographer’s playground.

Join your Tour Guides Melvin Nicholson, Francis Ansing and Dave Nelson on an unforgettable eleven day, ten night journey through one of Africa’s most visually striking countries, Namibia.

Namibia offers an incredible array of photographic subjects, from the world’s largest red sand dunes of Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert to the rugged, ancient bald granite peaks of Spitzkoppe including the iconic rock arch. From the stark beauty of the white clay pans of Deadvlei complete with its ancient, desiccated camel thorn trees set against a backdrop of bright orange sand dunes, to the 400 year old trees in the Quiver Tree Forest that has them produce vivid yellow flowers in May, June and July.

We will also be visiting Kolmanskop, a ghost town in Namibia that was once a thriving diamond mining town that is slowly being reclaimed by the desert sand, and we will have a rare opportunity to visit and photograph the nomadic Himba people in northern Nambia, complete with their distinctive red-ochre body paint and traditional attire, while learning about their way of life, culture and beliefs.

As you traverse Namibia’s diverse terrain, you will experience its natural wonders and be amazed at the rich, vibrant cultures and people on offer, With vast, empty landscapes that seem to stretch endlessly and potential wildlife encounters around every corner, a Namibia Photo Tour is the ultimate adventure for photographers looking to capture the raw, untamed beauty of Africa.
