South-west Cornwall – 3 day Photography Workshop

Join professional photographer Sarah Howard for a 3-day photography workshop taking in the spectacular coastline of south-west Cornwall including the Lizard Peninsula. South-west Cornwall is home to some of the most beautiful and iconic scenery that Cornwall has to offer. Along with its wild and rugged coastline and sweeping vistas, it is an area which is steeped in history, with much evidence of the industrial revolution remaining. As well as visiting some of the most iconic locations in the region, such as the dramatically situated Botallack tin mines (made famous in the TV series Poldark) and the spectacular scenery found at Lands End, we will also be exploring some of the beautiful secluded little coves dotted around the coastline. Along with the tin mining industry, Cornwall is well known for its fishing industry. Prussia Cove on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula, once a haunt for Cornwall’s best known smuggler, has an olde-world poetic feel whilst Kynance Cove offers a perfectly picturesque beach and dramatic rocky outcrops. The picturesque harbour village of Mousehole is also unmissable and fantastic for detail shots. We will also photograph Godrevy Lighthouse from the beautiful Gwithian beach. With its rocky foreground and epic views towards the Atlantic, it offers numerous opportunities for the photographer. From our base in Penzance, we will be ideally positioned with easy access to the coastline, allowing us the opportunity for both sunrise and sunset shoots. The incredibly photogenic St Michael’s Mount lies right on our doorstep. Long a source of inspiration for artists and writers this region of Cornwall has attracted artists from far afield over many years. As a participant on this photography workshop you will be spoilt for choice in this part of Cornwall.
