Brown Bear Photography Tours

Slovenian Bears offers brown bear photography tours and hide rental in southern Slovenia. We manage a network of 8 locations and 32 photo hides each accommodating up to 2 people. The hides have been built specifically for photographers and have therefore been carefully selected with location and light availability in mind. Each is positioned so they are approximately at eye level with the bears, and are equipped with bean bags and wooden blocks to fix tripod heads on.

All our hides are located in southern Slovenia, which contains one of the world’s richest densities of brown bears. There are an estimated 900 bears in the region, so this coupled with our setups offers the highest possible chance of sighting and photographing the bears. Hides are available for booking between April and September. A session in a hide usually start at 2 pm. and lasts until sunset.

We offer brown bear photography tours as a 4-day package with accommodation included. Alternatively, you can book our hides on a one-day basis with or without accommodation. Please visit our website for more information.
