Nestled on the border between Texas and Louisiana, Caddo Lake exists as a world apart—a labyrinth of bayous, sloughs, and cypress swamps that feels more like a dreamscape than a terrestrial location. For photographers, this primeval landscape offers an unparalleled opportunity to capture images that are both hauntingly beautiful and profoundly serene. The sight of ancient Bald Cypress trees, draped in Spanish Moss and rising from the mirror-like blackwater, creates a scene of ethereal mystery.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, meet-and-greet, assign kayaks, and a sunset shoot at one of the best Caddo Lake photography spots.
Day 2-3: Sunrise boat sessions, classroom instruction on Texas Bayou photography tips, and a golden-hour shoots.
Day 4: Final sunrise session, group image review, and farewell.
NOTE: Most of our time on the water during this workshop will be in wide/flat bottom kayaks allowing access deep within the cypress trees of Caddo Lake.

Location: Uncertain, Texas.
Closest Airport: Shreveport, LA (45-minute drive), or Dallas, TX (2 1/2 – 3 hour drive)
Transportation: Renting a car is recommended for easy access to the lake and workshop meeting points, unless you are driving yourself from your home location.
