- Spring in Tuscany
We will photograph iconic misty mornings over sweeping landscapes dotted with red-roofed farmhouses and cypress trees. During spring, the famous rolling hills of this scenic region of Italy acquire the misty and vibrant green colors that make them look like a Renaissance painting. From wildflowers to reduced crowds, Spring is a magnificent time to visit Italy. The weather is usually mild and bright, providing perfect conditions for sightseeing and discovering Tuscany’s art cities and villages. Everywhere you look, soft reds, light browns, greens, blues, oranges, and yellows melt into one another like in a watercolor painting, creating fantastic photo opportunities.
During our journey, we will explore some of the region’s quaint towns such as Montepulciano and Pienza and photograph the old stone streets and ancient architecture. By visiting the Val d’Orcia in spring, you can enjoy an extra feature of the area: blooming red poppies as far as the eye can see. The poppies generally start blooming in late April and stick around through the end of May, and admiring them is easily one of the best things to do in Tuscany in spring.
Tuscany is a delight for foodies; spring is harvesting season, local markets are full of fresh fruits and vegetables, and restaurant menus boasting fresh Pecorino cheese, spring artichokes, and Basil, and of course the region’s best wines. We are excited to guide you through inspiring photoshoots, providing constructive feedback, technical assistance, and a fun and productive workshop environment. Come and explore Tuscany with us!
