- Northern Vietnam Photography Journey: From Craft Villages to Rice Terraces
Join me for a 7-day photography journey through Northern Vietnam from 14–20 September 2026. Designed for photographers of all levels, this small-group tour combines authentic cultural experiences with some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes during the peak rice terrace season. Our journey begins in Hanoi, where we’ll explore traditional craft villages that offer unique opportunities to photograph local artisans, centuries-old traditions, and everyday life. From the vibrant Incense Village to the fishing basket and soy sauce-making villages, you’ll experience a side of Vietnam that many travelers never see. We then travel to Duong Lam Ancient Village before heading to the beautiful Long Coc Tea Hills, where rolling tea plantations and morning mist create stunning photographic opportunities. From there, we continue to Mu Cang Chai, home to Vietnam’s most iconic rice terraces. Over several days, we’ll photograph these breathtaking landscapes at sunrise and sunset, visit bamboo forests and traditional corn houses, and immerse ourselves in the culture of the northern highlands. The tour concludes in Hanoi with a morning dedicated to street photography, capturing the rhythm, character, and charm of one of Asia’s most fascinating cities. With a maximum of 8 participants, this tour is designed to provide a relaxed and supportive environment, allowing plenty of time for photography, learning, and exploring. Whether your passion is landscapes, culture, travel, or documentary photography, Northern Vietnam offers an incredible variety of subjects and experiences that will leave you with a diverse and memorable portfolio.
