- Scotland Photo Tour – Isle of Skye & Glencoe in Autumn
Eight days across the Isle of Skye and Glencoe, working the best landscape photography locations Scotland has to offer.
We run two autumn departures each year: one starting in early October and one in mid October.
We begin in Inverness and spend the first half of the week on the Isle of Skye, based in Portree, taking in the Quiraing at sunrise, the Old Man of Storr in the mist, the Fairy Pools beneath the Black Cuillin, Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls, and Neist Point Lighthouse for sunset. Along the way we stop at Eilean Donan Castle both going and coming back.
From Skye we cross to Glencoe, photographing the Jacobite Steam Train at Glenfinnan, the Corpach Shipwreck beneath Ben Nevis, and spending time in the valley itself among the Three Sisters and Loch Achtriochtan, with a long single-track drive down Glen Etive. We finish with Castle Stalker on evening and a picturesque morning to photography the calm waters of Loch Awe at sunrise with the iconic Kilchurn Castle across the water. We travel back to Inverness on the eighth day.
Groups are kept to a maximum of five photographers so tuition stays one to one, whatever your starting level. Hotel accommodation, all main meals, transport from Inverness, and expert guiding from Dion Hitchcock are all included, along with complimentary Kase filter kits to borrow if you need them.
We’ve been running and refining this tour multiple times a year since 2019, and photographers who’ve joined us have gone on to win awards with images taken on the trip, including a Grand Prize at the ON1 Photo RAW Awards for a black and white shot of the Quiraing.
